Green Skills Adaptation and Development for Nordic Regions
Project overview
GreenADeN is an interdisciplinary project that combines and integrates green skills development for different target groups with IT development. The project operates at the intersection of social sciences and information technologies. GreenADeN aims to unite various stakeholders and form a community of interested youth from different Nordic and Baltic countries.
The project activities include workshops and hackathons focused on the adaptation of European Climate Change Policies in the Nordic and Baltic regions. These events will be organized as annual schools over two consecutive years. The schools will emphasize various aspects of European Climate Change policies and their adaptation in the Nordic and Baltic Regions. Special attention will be given to the application of the European Green Deal program to address the specific needs of the regions. GreenADeN will help establish a 'green' mindset among the general public and especially the youth of partner countries. Sustainable development, gender equality, child rights, and youth perspectives are crucial components of the GreenADeN project.
The GreenADeN project ensures the fair and equitable distribution of its benefits, allowing everyone the opportunity to participate and benefit from the transition to a green economy by acquiring green skills. It also contributes to the employment shift towards carbon-free economic development in partner countries, addressing environmental and climate change inequalities.
